Custom Chemical Formulators’ R&D Chemist, Maria Carmen Gonzalez had the pleasure of participating in the Fifth Annual “Women of STEAM” Luncheon and Women Empowerment Symposium at Cabrillo High School in Long Beach this year. Female industry professionals presented on four specific modules to the students this year – Making the Most out of your Academic Career while in College, The Importance of Continuous Improvement and learning While Growing Your Career, Maintaining Your Female Identity in Predominantly Male Industry Fields, and The Impact of Social Media and Digital Citizenship.

Custom Chemical Formulators had a Summer Kick-Off Employee Appreciation Event this month – a quarterly themed event where the company shows its appreciation to all the employees with food, ice cream, gifts, games, and prizes. The highlight was the leadership team wearing chef hats and aprons while serving tacos to everyone!

Custom Chemical Formulators celebrated Shipping Manager Mike Egan’s 40 Year Employment Anniversary with lunch from his favorite restaurant, cake and a memorable speech by the CEO!

As our Manager of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer and be responsible for:

You will be responsible for ensuring our products are manufactured in compliance with our procedures, and you will take the lead in ensuring our procedures are current and up to date. You will also be responsible for reviewing audit results and corrective actions, and for taking the lead to continually improve our quality process.

Since we are an FDA drug manufacturer, our Manager of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs must have familiarity with 21 CFR 210 and 21 CFR 211. You will be expected to know the ins-and-outs of GMP manufacturing with an understanding of related legal and scientific matters.  Our ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and can communicate professionally both verbally and in written forms.

Inside Sales Coordinator

If you answered “Yes” to these questions, then this may be the opportunity you are looking for.  We are seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator who believes fulfilling our customers’ needs is the key to our organization’s success.  This person will be responsible for managing the sales process from initial contact to post sales follow up.  You’ll take initial calls, collect information about the prospective opportunity and document the stages of the project to keep it moving through the process. You will collaborate with various departments including Product Development, Supply Chain and Production to ensure the opportunity is a good fit with our capabilities and is processed in a timely manner.

Your areas of responsibility include:

  • Collecting information on new projects
  • Moving projects through the Sales Process
  • Gathering information for project costing
  • Obtaining required customer documentation/forms
  • Authoring/updating department SOP’s
  • Performing post sales follow-up

As our Sales Coordinator, you will have direct contact with our customers and prospective customers as you help move their project through our new opportunity process.  You will report directly to the Inside Sales Manager who shares your passion to provide world class levels of service.  If you have strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills, you will be a great asset to this role.

Marketing Administrator

If you answered “Yes” to these questions, then you are a person who shares our values.  We are seeking a Marketing Administrator who believes fulfilling our customers’ needs is the key to our organization’s success.  This person will be responsible for coordinating design of client facing materials, serving as internal design support for various departments as well as upkeep of Company website and social media accounts. You will collaborate with additional departments including Environmental Health & Safety and Product Development to ensure all materials meet local, state and federal requirements.

Your areas of responsibility include:

  • Creation of labels, technical sheets, marketing collateral
  • Sales process support
  • Organization, filing, document control

As our Marketing Administrator, you will have direct contact with our customers as you help to create their product labels.  You will report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing who shares your passion to be the best in the industry.  Your knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing software will enable you to design labels, technical data sheets, and generate marketing collateral. This will include creating documents in support of the sales process, organizing, filing and other administrative duties.
