Inside Sales & Marketing Representative
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION’S FUNCTION AND PURPOSE
Handle incoming sales calls, follow up with current customers, act as the liaison between Company and customer, manage all customer files, create marketing materials, as well as create a database for marketing purposes and administer a marketing campaign, new lead generation and new prospect follow up. He/She will also be responsible for filing several reports and administer a variety of general projects.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Generate sales leads and follow up on new prospects
- • Answer incoming sales calls
- • Create marketing materials (brochures, Technical Data Sheets, website information)
- • Create a database for marketing purposes as well as implement a mass mailing campaign
- • Follow up on current customer orders as well as requested information from prospective customers
- • File all sales reports and additional technical information
- • Correspond with laboratory personnel
- • Create and manage customer files
- • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. Shall at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED BY JOB
Employee must have intermediate to advanced skills on Word & Excel; professional demeanor as well as excellent oral/written communication skills. Must be very organized and have the ability to rapidly develop an understanding of current systems and processes. Ability to meet deadlines is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS- MINIMUM REQUIRED
- • EDUCATION- Associate’s degree
- • EXPERIENCE- Has previously worked with Windows operating system, Word, Excel, 3+ years inside sales experience
- • OTHER- Must have professional demeanor, excellent oral/written communication skills with strong customer orientation, extremely organized, exceptional ability to multi-task; ability to work independently and meet deadlines
DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
College degree, previous experience in the chemical industry, preferably in the sales & marketing arena.
